22nd August 2020: Editing the Domestic Violence Themed Images

As stated in my R and D book (please reference), I wanted to pretty much emulate the meaning of the ''Horror Movie'' shoot from Vogue Italia 2014. I felt however that the images could be improved in the styling, and the editing, to create a more eerie and therefore more controversial tone.

There were many images which I ended up choosing: I felt this told a story in the work. So I will show you one example of the before and after process of editing the photo using photoshop. I used the same techniques for each image.

All using photoshop:

-Increased levels

-To create dramatics' in the image, I applied a grain effect. Art direction wise this made the work look like a movie and increased the artistry in the image

-I made all the colours brighter in order to make the work look yes, more Steven Klein as usual- but more 'pop-arty'. I felt this added to the surrealism of the image which made it even more uncomfortable.

-I increased the general blue tone
